Vegan Basil Pesto

Fresh Basil from the garden means a basil-scented kitchen and lots of pesto. Try making vegan basil pesto with your freshly baked bread. This dip makes sweet memories of summer!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh basil
  • 1 T roasted garlic. Use fresh garlic if you want it spicy.
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • 3 T Nutritional Yeast
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Method
 

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor.
  2. Pour into a small bowl.
  3. Serve together with sliced toasted bread.
